Infrared heat is essential to stimulate the digestion of lizards and tortoises. Halogen Infrared Plus spots emit infrared heat waves that effectively penetrate the animal’s body (perfect for creating hot spots). The integrated reflector allows the heat source to be directed to create a temperature gradient in the vivarium, thus allowing the animals to thermoregulate. In general, the animals can be observed moving away from or towards the hot spot, depending on the moment and their physiological needs. Reptiles do not see infrared, which does not disturb their sleep. This lamp can be used as the vivarium’s main heat source day and night.
